Here’s How We Updated Our Skincare Routine After Attending A Longevity Summit

When we decided to attend the Don’t Die Summit in Miami (hosted by longevity entrepreneur Bryan Johnson), we expected to hear about supplements, biohacking, and nutrition. What we didn’t expect? Walking away with a full facial scan and a completely updated skincare routine.

👉 In case you missed it, you can read our full breakdown of the summit here.

Here’s what we learned about our skin and how we completely revamped our approach.

The Facial Scan: What We Learned About Our Skin

At the summit, we opted for a high-resolution facial scan through one of the health tech vendors. It was very futuristic and pretty odd as an experience. To give you a sense, here is a close up of the machine that we put our faces into:

The scan analyzed everything from:

  • Hydration levels

  • Sun damage (both visible and underlying)

  • Wrinkle depth and distribution

  • Elasticity and firmness

  • Redness and inflammation

The report confirmed a few things we already suspected (hello, dehydration) and highlighted a few new areas we needed to work on, like boosting collagen production and supporting skin barrier health more aggressively. Luckily, there was a professional to walk through all the results and make sense of the data. Here’s an example of the detailed report that shows low moisture levels particularly in the forehead.

And in the end, it gave a skin type overview. This report was spot on - dryness is a top issue for sure! And it’s also been a struggle to reduce and prevnet wrinkles with skin that’s slightly sensitive, which this report highlighted.

Our New Routine For Combatting Dry Skin and Wrinkles

Armed with new knowledge (and some fresh motivation), we revamped our skincare routine to prioritize hydration, skin repair, and wrinkle prevention. Here’s the full update:

🌞 Daily Morning Routine

Face Routine

  1. CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser: Gentle and barrier-friendly

  2. COSRX Snail Mucin: Adds hydration and supports skin repair

  3. La Roche-Posay Vitamin C10 Serum: Brightens and evens out skin tone

  4. Rodan + Fields Bright Eye Complex: Targets puffiness and fine lines

  5. La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair SPF: Critical sun protection with barrier support

Optional: Facial Rescue Spray as needed to combat any sensitivity throughout the day

  2. CeraVe Intensive Moisturizing Lotion: Locks in hydration and supports recovery

  3. CeraVe Hydrating SPF Face + Body Lotion: Daily body sunscreen, even on cloudy days (Alternate pick: This Neutrogena equivalent)

🌙 Alternating Evening Routine

Even Days

  2. Tretinoin (0.025%): Lower-strength retinoid for gradual resurfacing (note: we get this through our dermatologist)

  3. CeraVe Night Cream: Rich moisture overnight

Optional: Slugging or hydrating face masks for extra moisture, hydrating lip oil if needed

Odd Days

  3. iRestore LED Mask (Red + Blue Light): For anti-aging and calming inflammation

  4. iRestore Anti-Aging Serum: Lock in the benefits of red light therapy

  5. Rodan + Fields Lash Boost: Strengthens and promotes lash growth

Optional: Forehead wrinkle patch like this one or this one for targeted overnight smoothing

Why We Love the New Routine

  • It's data-driven. We’re focusing on exactly what our skin needs based on real metrics, not guesswork

  • It’s realistic. No 15-step routines. Each step is a maximum of 5 skincare products!

  • It covers everything: repair (retinoids + Vitamin C), protection (SPF), hydration (snail mucin + barrier creams), and rejuvenation (LED therapy)

Final Thoughts

Updating our skincare routine based on actual skin diagnostics was one of the most worthwhile outcomes from the summit. It made us more intentional, not just about products, but about why we’re using them. We’ve been following this routine for one month and the results have been visible. If you’re facing some of the same challenges with your skin, you might benefit from a few of these steps as well!
