Our Top 10 Purchases of 2025

Every year we test (and even re-test) a ton of products to figure out what we should recommend to you. After some deep consideration, we pulled out our top 10 purchases of 2025, items we used constantly, repurchased, or would immediately buy again if they disappeared tomorrow.

Here’s what made the cut.

1. K-Beauty Overnight Face Masks

The Overnight Collagen Face Masks from BIODANCE have taken the world by storm. This was the year we fully committed to overnight masks and it paid off. They’re the ultimate low-effort, high-impact skincare upgrade. You put them on, go to sleep, and wake up looking noticeably more hydrated and refreshed. Easy, effective, repeatable. These are viral for a reason.

2. 100% Cotton Bedding from Frette

Luxury bedding that actually delivers. Frette sheets elevated our sleep instantly with cool, crisp, hotel-level quality that makes getting into bed feel like a reward. Expensive, yes, but worth it when you use them every single night. We tested a few products (like the Greenwich Duvet Cover, which is 100% cotton) and we definitely recommend the upgrade, especially if you sleep on synthetic materials.

3. Super Duolingo Subscription

We love investing in ourselves and learning a language is a great way to keep your mind sharp. Super Duolingo was one of the best value upgrades of the year. Removing ads made learning a lot more frictionless, which made it something we actually stuck with. This comes out to a reasonable monthly cost with surprisingly high ROI. If you’re interested in picking up a language, Duolingo is an easy way to get started!

4. Daily Tea Rituals

Swapping random tea bags for favorite teas turned mornings and evenings into rituals we looked forward to. It’s inexpensive, calming, and something we reached for constantly. Pro tip: If you find a favorite black or green tea you love, consider also buying both a decaf version so you can enjoy it any time of the day! Here are some of our favorites:

5. Blue Apron Recipe Kits

Is it just us, or does every year feel busier and busier? We love cooking healthy meals but don’t have time for extensive meal planning, shopping and prep. Blue Apron helps reduce decision fatigue, cuts down on takeout, and makes weeknight dinners easier without feeling boring. Blue Apron recently refreshed its business with a new subscription model and more recipes. So, if you’ve been thinking about trying (or retrying) Blue Apron, now may be a good time.

6. Comfortable Shoes from Allbirds

Allbirds is our go-to brand for comfortable shoes. If we could live in Allbirds, we would. We tried a bunch of styles this year and we will say, some of the newer models can be variable (make sure you read the suggestions on fit as you may need to size up slightly!) but we keep coming back, especially when we have upcoming travel. If we had to narrow it town to our absolute favorites, we’d have to go with these two:

  • Women’s Tree Breezer Flats: These are the perfect flat. We don’t know how, but they are as comfortable as wearing sneakers all day. Albirds has also recently been expanding their styles and we equally love versions that feature little bows and the ones with Mary Jane straps.

  • Men’s Laceless Dashers: Equal parts sleek and comfortable, these slip-on shoes easily become an absolute staple for any occasion. The style is the perfect blend of subtle but distinct.

7. Travel Essentials

Not glamorous, but essential. This year we invested in upgrades to our travel solutions and it made a huge difference. When something saves you stress every trip, it earns a top-10 spot. Here are some highlights:

8. Mejuri Jewelry

Mejuri is known for high quality materials in wearable and aesthetic designs. Mejuri pieces became elevated everyday staples rather than “special occasion” jewelry. They layer well, hold up over time, and feel polished without being precious. We tried a few of their products and particularly recommend their pearl and diamond pieces, which can be very difficult to shop for. We’ve been scouring for the right balance of price and quality, and Mejuri came out on top (Quince took our second spot but is a bit too limited in their offerings to really compete). In particular, we definitely recommend:

  • Medium Hoops: These are the perfect size for everyday, not too small and not too big

  • Birthstone Charms: This is an affordable way to get a high quality stone

  • Dainty Rings: The bold pieces use materials so tend to be much more expensive, but a little goes a long way! For example, the Beverly Ring which has both a small natural diamond paired with a freshwater pearl adds instant understated elegance

9. Upgraded Pajamas and Slippers

Upgrading the things you wear every night turned out to be one of the best decisions of the year. In winter, we highly recommend investing in Bombas slippers, which are as warm as they are comfortable. We were highly impressed by LILYSILK for their soft and breathable pajamas. But even if you don’t want to invest in name brands, it’s wroth spending the time to pick out something that you’ll enjoy wearing time and time again like this cute nightgown.

10. Meshki Dresses

We’d describe Meshki as trend-forward but wearable, which isn’t always easy to find! Meshki had been on our radar for a while but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality when we finally placed an order. These dresses consistently delivered on fit, style, and value, and we wore them repeatedly for events, dinners, and trips. We will say that some of their pieces seem to be more variable on quality, but at least the ones we’ve tested (like the stunning Rian Strapless Knit Mini Dress) absolutely delivered.

Let’s Talk About What Didn’t Make The Cut

Like we said, we are constantly trying out products to decide what we’re going to recommend. We don’t always share the misses (tell us if you want to see these more often though!) so we wanted to give you a sense of some things that didn’t make the list:

  • Shoes That Promised Comfort But Didn’t Deliver: This is a big category for us. We tried Sole Bliss and found these to be very hit-or-miss. We tried wedges from Tom’s that were a complete disaster. And so many others!

  • Aritzia Dresses and Bags: These were solid, but nothing special enough to stand out this year and fell a bit below expectations. We’re big fans of Aritzia but found 2025 to be a bit of a lackluster year from them!

  • PopFlex Athleisure and Swimwear: We’ve all seen the viral designs from PopFlex and we can all agree that they are super cute and well thought out. However, the execution was a bit varied. We actually really liked the Supersculpt Leggings with Pockets but other designs including the Swim Dress, Zip Cloud Hoodie, and Perfect Plane Pants did not live up to the hype. We’re rooting for this brand for sure, but it’s not quite there for us.

  • Shoe Accessories: We love the concept of being able to accessorize your shoes and particularly love the designs from Pashion. This is one that we haven’t tested enough to fully endorse yet, but we’re wondering a little bit if the concept is better than the reality on this one.

  • Home basics: We tested some home upgrades (like a small footprint air purifier and fan or an all-in-one first aid kit) and these were useful, responsible upgrades, but not exciting enough for top 10. But let us know if you’re interested in more of these items and we can put together some lists!

Final Takeaway

The best purchases of 2025 had a high bar. If we wouldn’t buy it again, it doesn’t belong on the list. Stay tuned for our best experiences of 2025 and what we’re looking forward to in 2026!
